We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired word of God as the basis for our beliefs.
CHURCH COVENANT
Our Father, the one and only true God and the Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has done the following things for us
He has made us and sustains our lives. He has saved us from our sinful selves through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has called us to His life of love.
He has gathered us by His Holy Spirit into this fellowship of Christians known as the Vallecito Church
Because of what God has done in our lives, and because we want to be a dynamic spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to the way of life outlined in the following statements:
Seek a growing knowledge and awareness of God and to give Him first place in every area of our lives to the end that He might control our time, relationships, possessions, thoughts, and actions.
By our attitudes, words, and actions encourage others to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and to assist them in their Christian growth and the use of their spiritual gifts.
Allow God’s Holy Spirit to create in us purity of mind, heart, and body for the purpose of bringing glory to God and hope to all people.
Experience in our lives and demonstrate to each other and the world the fruits of the Spirit including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control.
Be faithful in our family and private devotions, and in our support of the evangelistic, education, worship, and service ministries of this fellowship. Share ourselves and our resources with each other in ways that each member will be uplifted spiritually, emotionally, and physically; thereby being better equipped to be the people of God.
Attempt to reclaim in the spirit of Christ’s love any brother or sister who becomes inactive, indifferent, or in any other way gives evidence of having lost the sense of unity or spiritual purpose expressed in this covenant.
Encourage members moving to other communities to unite with another church which has beliefs and experiences similar to those of this fellowship.
